INTRODUCTION
With the exception of Waitrose all the major supermarkets are represented in Warrington and sell the ingredients you need for home cooking plus some convenience foods and prepared meals either their own or other makes. It is in prepared foods products that the greatest differences are found and we aim to show which ones are best and hopefully encourage greater choice. Pressure can be applied at a local level. For example we noticed that Sainsbury's which sells a large range of plant milks and Free From products for people who are lactose/gluten intolerant only stocked one flavour of non-dairy ice-cream - the ubiquitous Swedish Glace Vanilla. We have suggested that the customers for the other dairy-free products would welcome a variety of ice-cream too and they now stock the Neopolitan variety. We would like to see the whole range and they will only be persuaded to do so by requests so please ask.

Until recently there were two 'health food' shops selling vegan products in the the town centre, now there is only Holland and Barrett. (Point the mouse at the listing for further information)
